What wonders await you at the end of the rainbow, where the goddess of purity and grace coaxes her favorite flowers, breathtaking irises, to new heights of beauty. Here you will behold magnificent blossoms such as this cluster of four Amethyst Flame rising in full display. Their bold purple colors and fiery orange centers set the air ablaze with beauty. So awe-inspiring are these flowers they seem almost to be from another, much more perfect world.

Now artist Sharon Rickert takes you there with "Alluring Amethyst," the first issue in her A Rainbow of Irises series of oval collector's plates, each surrounded by a decorative gold border. Ms. Rickert is well-known for her amazingly lifelike floral studies, and "Alluring Amethyst" is a brilliant example of her finest work. Close study reveals her amazing use of color, shadow, and light—look at the multiple
shades of purple and pink in the flower petals; the soft white touches suggesting sunlight; the shadows defining every curve of the delicate petals. Sharon Rickert has brought The Amethyst Flame to life for you to enjoy whenever you need a touch of beauty in your day!

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by many skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the U.S.
