In a place called Gethsemane, Jesus went to pray to his Father. As he prayed, his disciples slept, exhausted in their grief. When Jesus saw this, he woke them, telling them to get up for His betrayer was at hand.

At that moment Judas, one of His twelve disciples, arrived with a large crowd carrying swords and clubs. A pre-determined sign was arranged between Judas and the elders that was to signal the arrest of Jesus...an embrace and a kiss. Judas approached Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed him. Jesus was arrested at once.

Suddenly, one of those with Jesus drew his sword and struck the ear of a high priest's slave, cutting it off. Jesus said to him...
For all who take the sword will perish by the sword.

And so, it was by these words of our Savior that the scriptures of the prophets were fulfilled and the eternal redemption of mankind was realized.

Award-winning artist Christopher Nick has created yet another poignant portrait of the Passion of Christ in "Betrayal In
The Garden," the next moving issue in the Light Of The World collection.

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
