The icy stream tumbles down from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east. It bubbles and swirls around boulders and rocks, busily traveling to the Rio Grande and the sea.

Into a quiet pool amid this happy tempest slips an enchanting maiden. Her raven hair is adorned with feathers of an eagle...the winged envoy who carries prayers high into the heavens above.

The precious water is deep and cold. She swims from the eddy into the flowing stream. The clear, soothing water refreshes and cleanses her soul.

But she doesn't linger. She slips from the water and her skin tingles in the early morning chill. As the last few precious droplets fall from her lustrous hair, she modestly wraps herself in a blanket and raises her face to the heavens above. The rising sun begins to share its warmth with the red earth that surrounds this busy little stream. She has much work to do that day, but allows herself a minute longer to relish the sun's warmth and the lingering afterglow of the life-giving water.

The creation of the fine collectors plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
