White Bull has left with the others. All night they had prayed and paid strict attention to the sacred ways. They had sung songs, recounted ancestral triumphs, and celebrated the courage of their braves. The men had spent many hours in the sweat lodge, purifying themselves for the hunt. But now they have gone. And One Who Sighs is left with the other women and her thoughts.
She is very troubled. In her dream the hunting party returns with many buffalo. But White Bull's closest friend comes to her side. He says White Bull had hunted bravely, but something went terribly wrong.
It would be a great privilege for White Bull to die so nobly. And for many years his spirit would be honored before each hunt. But all the praise the People could bestow upon White Bull would never fill the emptiness that One Who Sighs already feels in her heart.
In this quiet time, after the warriors have left, she can only wait. And pray the visions in her dream were not for her ... that White Bull would return.
The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
