Steps-As-Fawn twirls the long, slender pheasant feather between her graceful fingers, admiring its bronze metallic iridescence in the firelight. She had heard the soft tread of footsteps pause outside her father's tipi, then move on quickly. When she peeked out the heavy buffalo flap to investigate, she found this lovely feather ... the fourth in the past four nights!
Who could be giving her such exquisite gifts? Could it be Arrow Wolf, that handsome brave with the dancing black eyes and powerful muscles as if carved of smooth mahogany to capture a maiden's eye? He never speaks to her, as is proper for a Cherokee warrior. But he always seems to be watching her, turning away quickly if their eyes meet at the evening fire.
Steps-As-Fawn ties the gleaming feather to her headband, letting the soft feathers of eagle, barred hawk and kestrel caress her shoulder. She wonders with a flutter of excitement in her heart ... Is it him?
The smoky hues, the lush interplay of light and shadow, the romantic stirrings evoked from the visions of a creative soul ... these are the unmistakable hallmarks of acclaimed artist Lee Bogle.
The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
