The heavenly host flutter about,
P ready to perform the slightest task. But the Holy Mother, wrapped up in faithful attention to Her Child, has no need of celestial attendants.

For "Faithfulness," Plate Three in Our Heavenly Mother, artist Hector Garrido presents the Madonna and Child in the pose that was thematic during the Italian Renaissance: The Blessed Mother seated and holding the Christ Child. They are no longer depicted symbolically, as in earlier art periods, but realistically. And so Mr. Garrido's skillful interpretation bathes the Holy Pair in light so that They convey hope and joy, beauty and perfection.

Conceived from a sculptural perspective, They appear fully dimensional. Yet, as a sign of Their divinity, Mother and Child seem to float, not subject to the laws of gravity and matter. They are beings of both this and another world.

How reassuring, therefore, to see the care and concern for her Child so plain on Mary's face. The viewer knows instinctively that Her attention will never waiver from this Infant She holds so dear. And so, by extension, can be certain that Her faithfulness will extend to believers who love Her Holy Son.

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the U.S., a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigmenLs carefully chosen to faithfully recreate the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was made in France and Germany and permanently fired into the Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the U.S.
