Our Heavenly Mother Collection, "Love" by Hector Garrido. Sixth issue in the series. Bradford Exchange, 1995. Dimentions of the plaque are approx 7.5 by 5.75 inches. Oval in shape. Suggested retail $50.00.
What divine force brings angels to view its splendor? What intense emotion creates such a warm and vibrant glow, lighting not only the billowing clouds in the sky above, but also the lives of everyone with whom it comes in contact?
The answer is a simple one. One that has been with us from the beginning. The answer is love.
And this is "Love," Plate Six in the Our Heavenly Mother collection by Hector Garrido, a modern master of Christian art. His inspiring interpretation gives us multiple views of the Blessed Virgin's most Holy Love. We see her adoration of the Christ Child, supporting Him not only at her shoulder, but as He matures to fill out God's plan for Him.
But Mary's love shines for more than Jesus. It sends its heavenly glow to the angels that surround her, looking on in admiration. And it extends itself to us, once again assuring us of the true joy that awaits us when we trust in her goodness and give to others what she so willingly gives to us: love—the divine force that lives within us all.
The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating' pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
