Behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying "Arise, and take the young child and his mother; and flee into Egypt, and he thou there until I bring thee word, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him."

When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt and was there until the death of Herod. that it might be Milled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt have I called my son."

Then Herod, when be saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.
Matthew 2: 13-16

Acclaimed artist Hector Garrido captures the essence of Mary and Joseph's protectiveness of Jesus in "Purity," Plate Five in the Our Heavenly Mother series. Here, surrounded by an adoring halo of celestial cherubim, the Blessed Virgin Mary tenderly cradles the year-old Christ Child, silently thanking God for His salvation from Herod's wrath.

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by many skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, fine ceramic transfers, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the artist's originals, were created in France and Germany and fired into the Japanese porcelain plate bodies at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
