Out in the vast, open range of Montana, a man is humbled by the indomitable majesty of the earth. Yet there are some men to whom the awe-inspiring, lonely landscape irresistibly calls to their souls. They thrive in the austere, formidable mountains where others would feel alienated and forsaken. They share the hard, snow-dusted trails with the wolf, grizzly, and elk, and show them the respect and admiration the deserve.

When two such proud men meet in their solitary journeys, few words are spoken ... yet they are honest words. If a young outfitter says there's good hunting up along Iron Ridge, and he has the eight-point antlers to prove it, a leathery, grizzled veteran of these remote lands can trust it won't be a wild goose chase. For though decades of hard living lies between them, they both hear that soul-deep call in their bones of sun-blasted steel.
And that is a tie that binds them together as irrevocably as brothers through all the endless miles, starry nights and lonesome years.

Follow that stirring call up to the soaring vistas and epic scope of Montana's high valleys with Larry Zabel's "Outfitter's Promise."

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
