Songs of Angels collection, "Springtime Duet" by artist An Oleg Vladimirovich. Third issue in a numbered series. Bradford exchange, 1995. Plate size approx 8 inches. Suggested Retail $50.00.
What of these angels dressed in brilliant white? For whom do they play their sweet melodies?
With golden lyre and violin, through swirling, billowing clouds of azure, their song is lifted to heaven, where each note crystallizes into a tiny jeweled star to grace the nighttime sky.
As these celestial cherubs create their lovely harmony, beautiful symbols of life, faith and hope surround them with their presence. A melodious "C" note reveals a pristine white lily. "B" minor unveils gilded leaves of the finest detail. And an "F" brings forth a blossom of aqua blue. Chord after chord cascades in a sweet tumult of music until finally, a golden cross magically appears amidst cotton soft clouds tinted pink and gold.
As the exotic turrets and filigree arches of this city beckon a holy welcome, the sweet serafim gaze down upon the earthly inhabitants below. And through their heavenly music offer a divine intervention that cannot be denied.
Palekh Master An Oleg Vladimirovich offers yet another glorious white lacquer masterpiece that touches the hearts and spirits of all who see "Springtime Duet."
The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently tired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
