That was two years ago, and tonight she was walking to his tipi to be his wife. Forever entwined, forever one.
He was kind and worked hard to prove he would be a good husband. His prowess in battle was legend, and his hunting skills were renowned. Yet she was unsure.
The magnificent gifts Yellow Wolf presented to her father were overwhelming. Ponies and beads, food and sacred feathers. Her brothers, eager for the bounty, demanded the marriage, but her father sensed her uncertainty.

"It is right for you to be anxious my little one." He hugged his daughter and fought hack his tears.
She took a last look at her father's tipi and completed the long walk into womanhood. She opened the flap and silently slipped into Yellow Wolfs warm embrace.
