"The Spirit of Windsor", the artist's subject for "When I Grow Up", is the former Canadian National Railways Locomotive No. 5588, a 4-6-2 "Pacific" type (ex-Grand Trunk Ry. No. 213, built by G.1 R. -- Point St. Charles Shops in 1911). The loeomotive is on permanent exhibit at CN Park, the City of Windsor, Ont., under administration of the Department of Parks and Reereation.
