trackage by use of the Pennsy's hallmark four
tracking system. the Pennsylvania Railroad
moved freight and more passengers than any
other railroad in the world.
One of the most famous electrified locomotive designed by (Raymond Loewy) and powerful at nearly any speed was the GG-1, the pride of Passenger trains. At 79 feet, six inches. 4800
horsepower and with its famous Pennsy
"pinstrips" paint job, the GG-1 represented
reliability efficiency and symbolized the
greatness of the Golden Age of Railroading.
Artist Paul H. Adams recreates the excitement
of this most famous of trains.
