The Doll Collection - "Dear Googly" by Mildred Seely. Spedial limited edition of Old German Dolls, 1981. Dear Googly is incised J.D.K. for Kestner and 221. Googlies were a fad about 1912-14 and nearly every doll company made just a few. Our Dear Googly has sleep eyes set to the side. The fully jointed composition body is short and stocky. Since only a few googlies were produced, both the demand and the price are high. Plate size approx 8.5 inches. Suggested retail $50.00.
