Diesel – Three-unit locomotive built by Alco-General Electric is powered by V-type 16-cylinder Diesel engine developing 2,000 hp. At 1,000 rpm; Pennsylvania 6,000-hp. Diesels – Three unit Fairbanks-Morse locomotives designed for fast freight service have top speed of 69 mph with 70:17 gear ratio and 42 in. truck wheels; Alco-GE 1500 hp Road Diesel – Freight locomotive which develops starting tractive force of 57,500 lf. Is powered with 12-cylinder V-type Alco engine; Rock Island Suburban Diesels – Two 1,500 hp. Locomotives are modifications of the builder’s all-purpose locomotive with 85 mph gearing, electro-pneumatic brakes, tight-lock couplers, head-end lighting generator and dual cab controls; E-N.D. Diesel Road Locomotives – Models include F7 and FP7A for freight or heavy passenger service, and E8 for high-speed streamline trains; Electro-Motive Switchers – Many pictures and drawing!
