Where Eagles Soar collection, "On Freedom's Wing" by artist Frank Mittelstadt. First issue in a numbered series. Bradford exchange, 1994. Plate size approx 8 inches. Suggested Retail $60.00.

High in the skies over a sparkling clear mountain lake, a great bald eagle glides effortlessly on the wind. Its mighty wings are outstretched and motionless, its expression fierce and proud. Small wonder the eagle has been a symbol of power, beauty, and perfect freedom since ancient times.

In "On Freedom's Wing," first plate in his Where Eagles Soar collection, Frank Mittelstadt gives us a breathtaking portrait of the magnificent bald eagle. Not only is his depiction anatomically correct, hut he captures the bird's majestic personality as well. He shows it flying over the incredibly beautiful Upper Green River Lake in the Bridger-Teton Wilderness of Wyoming's Wind River Range.

Soaring high, swooping low, diving to pluck a fish from beneath the water's surface, or climbing so high it seems to disappear into the heavens, the eagle is truly master
of the air. And never has it been more wonderfully portrayed.

"On Freedom's Wing" is
set off by a brilliant blue border, topped with a sunburst of shining gold-enhanced designs. It is a view of perfect freedom for your everlasting pleasure.

The creation of the fine collector's plate you have just acquired and whose authenticity is certified by this document is the result of work by an international cadre of skilled artisans. After the plate art was created in the United States, a fine ceramic transfer, incorporating pigments carefully chosen to faithfully re-create the vibrant beauty of the artist's original, was created in France and Germany and permanently fired into the fine Japanese porcelain plate body at more than 1,460° Fahrenheit by talented craftsmen and craftswomen in the United States.
